Key Academy trains UK roadside and workshop locksmiths online (GMT/BST-friendly calls) with optional practice in Saint Petersburg (Saint Petersburg, Severny Prospect 7k1). There is no UK classroom branch.

Focus: modern immobilisers, cloning vs AKL workflows, OBD and bench methods, plus business-ready habits after the course. Compare honestly with short UK bootcamps: we specialise in programming depth and remote mentoring, not a local 2-day hotel course.

Programmes

Same three packages as key-academy.ru. Online everywhere; optional practice only in Saint Petersburg, Severny Prospect 7k1. Individual tuition, typically 3–6 days. Six months of technical support after the course. No local campus.

Basic
  • Key types, how they differ, and how a working key is made
  • Chip types, cloning, and transponder programmers
  • OBD programming (e.g. Opel Astra J, Hyundai Solaris, VW Polo)
  • Cutting: vertical machine, CNC, original / total loss / by code, Finnish blade
  • Equipment used on the Basic programme
Expert
  • Soldering technique — buttons and flex cable
  • Making a chip from an immobiliser module on the bench (e.g. Renault Logan, Mercedes Sprinter)
  • Brand specifics: Mercedes, BMW, VAG; BMW G-series and Mercedes from 2014
  • Adding / restoring a key on a live Mercedes Sprinter test platform (Saint Petersburg)
  • Equipment used on the Expert programme
Full training
  • Both blocks — Basic and Expert — in one programme
  • Copying, OBD, CNC/hand cutting, soldering, and bench-module work
  • Practice cars and CNC only in Saint Petersburg if you attend
  • Individual schedule; typically 3–6 days depending on the package
